Farm Wars

Just when we thought that buying “Organic” was safe, we run headlong into the deliberate poisoning of our organic food supply by the FDA in collusion with none other than the folks who brought us Aspartame. NutraSweet, a former Monsanto asset, has developed a new and improved version of this neurotoxin called Neotame.

Neotame has similar structure to aspartame — except that, from it’s structure, appears to be even more toxic than aspartame. This potential increase in toxicity will make up for the fact that less will be used in diet drinks. Like aspartame, some of the concerns include gradual neurotoxic and immunotoxic damage from the combination of the formaldehyde metabolite (which is toxic at extremely low doses) and the excitotoxic amino acid. (Holisticmed.com)

But surely, this product would be labeled! NOT SO!!! For this little gem, no labeling required. And it is even included in USDA Certified Organic food.

The food labeling requirements required for aspartame have now been dropped for Neotame, and no one is clear why this was allowed to happen. Neotame has been ruled acceptable, and without being included on the list of ingredients, for:

  • USDA Certified [made with/contains] Organic food items.
  • Certified Kosher products with the official letter k inside the circle on labels. (Janet Hull)

Let me make this perfectly clear. Neotame does not have to be included in ANY list of ingredients! So, if you buy processed food, whether USDA Certified [made with/contains] Organic or not, that food might contain Neotame because it is cost-effective, and since no one knows it is there, there is no public backlash similar to what is happening with Aspartame. A win/win situation!

But that’s not all. Just love chowing down on that delicious steak? Well, that cow most likely will have been fed with feed containing…..you guessed it…..Neotame! A product called “Sweetos,” which is actually composed of Neotame, is being substituted for molasses in animal feed.

“Sweetos is an economical substitute for molasses. Sweetos guarantees the masking of unpleasant tastes and odor and improves the palatability of feed. This product will be economical for farmers and manufacturers of cattle feed. It can also be used in mineral mixture,” said Craig Petray, CEO, The NutraSweet Company, a division of Searle, which is a part of Monsanto. (Bungalow Bill)

Why would we feed animals food that is so distasteful that we would have to mask the unpleasantness with an artificial sweetener? Most animals will not eat spoiled, rancid feed. They know by the smell that it is not good. Enter Sweetos (Neotame). Just cover up the unpleasant tastes and odors, and you can feed them anything you want to, courtesy of the oh, so considerate folks at Monsanto and company.

But of course, Monsanto is no longer associated with NutraSweet. In the time-honored tradition of covering its assets, Monsanto has a proven track record of spinning off controversial portions of its company that generate too much scrutiny, such as it did with the Solutia solution.

Says the Farm Industry News, “Monsanto, which has long resided in the crosshairs of public scorn and scrutiny, appears to have dodged at least one bullet by spinning off its industrial chemical business into a separate entity called Solutia a couple of years ago. Solutia has since been hammered by lawsuits regarding PCB contamination from what were once called Monsanto chemical plants in Alabama and other states” (Source Watch)

So what is the solution to this problem? Buy local organic food, know your local farmer, and don’t buy processed foods whether they are labeled “Organic” or not. This requires a drastic change in lifestyle that most will not want to make. For those who choose to ride the wheel of chance by succumbing to this genocidal adulteration of our food supply by those who stand to profit from our sickness and early demise, my only comment is….it is your choice. But for those of us who have decided to fight this battle one bite at a time by hitting these sociopaths in the pocketbook where it hurts……viva la revolucion!

  1. Lyle in the Crosshairs says:

    Lyle,

“All of these conspiracy theories assume that corporations and governments are competent, which has been shown to be false. The government/corporations couldn’t keep a secret this big if they wanted to.”

It’s been proven that corporations and governments are just incompetent? Isn’t it amazing how your incompetence makes you poor and impotent, while their accidental incompetence just makes them richer and richer and more and more powerful? How very odd! Please provide a link to this groundbreaking research.

“The scientific evidence shows that both chemicals mentioned are harmless at current consumption levels. So unless you eat enough every day to feed a medium-sized family for a week (which would make you obese and unhealthy no matter the chemicals you consume), you’ll be fine.”

Is that scientific evidence provided by the people selling this garbage or taking kickbacks from the companies that produce it or actual people with a conscience?

One thing that needs to change is we need to stop offering automatic deference to anything associated with ‘science’ – even scientists can sell their souls to Moloch, and why not if you don’t believe you have a soul at all?

Just listen to your own body – it will tell you everything you need to know.

  2. vad says:

    Nelissa,

the problem with “spreading the word” is that the “free media” in this country is being financed by the advertising, and the lion’s share of the advertising is being done by the very entity you want to fight against – the corporations. Which means that you have no chance that mainstream media will publish it, and your only recourse is “alternative media” – such as blogs. However, the corporations have already realized the importance of the blogs as well, and PR firms have emerged that that create shill blogs, post shill comments and such. Whenever your voice becomes substantial enough to jeopardize billion dollar business, which it is, you will have to fight some million dollar-funded operation that will try to silence you. It’s normal, expected, and inevitable. Plus, as mrs.hester mentioned, the same interests are very likely to also sponsor even your school, which may be the explanation of the reaction. This is not conspiracy theory, this is very real fact – large companies do pay very close attention to the curriculum in schools.

As for the calling the number with your question, you certainly can, but most likely the answer will be “we don’t know/can’t tell because this is not required to be reported”. Do you seriously expect them to say “Yes, we do poison it and use the opportunity to hide it” ?

I think, the only real avenue for you is mounting some pressure on your Congress representative.

  3. Hello all,

This story has already been debunked by Emily Brown Rosen. Emily has, for decades, been one of the most respected members of the organic community when it comes to the regulations and “materials.” She spent many years working for or as a consultant to certifiers. To the USDA’s credit she has now been hired as a staff member of the National Organic Program.

The thread below appeared on Comfood (sponsored by Tufts University).

    Beware of internet ” facts.”

    Dear NOFA Friends,

Emily Brown Rosen, one of the most knowledgeable people in our organic networks on the details of the national organic program, ingredients and materials, wrote this about James Manning’s posting on neotame:

“Looks totally unfounded to me. It would have to be on the ingredients list, and if was found to be in organic food – a complaint should be filed, definitely not permitted.”

Hello everyone. I am just now being introduced to this problem by a good friend. I have had a hard time in my personal life of trusting almost no one, and it has taken a lot of time deciphering who to trust. I appreciate all of you doing all this “homework” as it were, and will start my organic garden this year. Thank you all again, and keep doing what you’re doing so well. I will pass this article to all in my address book.

  6. mrs.hester says:

Nelissa, I just want to give you fair warning: I too did a report over the poison aspartame for a nursing class. You would think the HEALTH fields would appreciate that sort of knowledge…not so. I got excoriated by students and instructor alike for accusing the “Diabetic’s Savior” the way I did. I am not trying to deter you from your subject, just don’t be shocked if it is not received well. But, if one person learns the truth about it, that is still something!

  7. John says:

Annie Linux……Are you refering to me “John”? ..Your post followed mine. I do have a spine and I’ve been fighting corruption for many years. Their are a number of people who are sitting behind bars locked up for committing crimes because of my efforts. And no I am not one of them. If you were making the comment towards me please think a little before hand since you don’t know the person. If the comment was not intended for me then just disregard what I’ve said.

  8. Kev says:

Yes I to have done my homework now for over 25 years researching and following these global elite who want to put us all into a communistic world government. I to have a blog on these very subjects. Yes it is true they have a de-population agenda. In fact if I may add verification to that, just do a search for the Georgia Guide stones and you will see that the very first top sentence states that they want to maintain the population under 500 million. Truth is they don’t care how they get to that amount. By what ever means it takes. And food poisoning is one of those ways. I’ve known about Aspartame for a long time but, thank you Barbara, I didn’t know about Neotame till your article here. Scary, but excellent article! Thanks again!

  9. Loulou says:

As far as I can tell part of this information is unsubstantiated. I can’t find any corroboration of the USDA approval at all except in copies of this article all over the organic and libertarian leaning websites, let alone it’s use as a food additive for cattle, which would be under USDA’s control. It looks like it was approved by FDA for food in 2002, but that it was required to be listed as an ingredient at that time. I like a lot of these site’s but it’s things like this that make me doubt the alternative media’s ability to handle it’s role responsibly. Not that it still isn’t better than government media, but shouldn’t you all do some sourcing before passing these stories around as good as gossip? I’d love to be wrong…please post the .gov or something.

  10. Nelissa says:

I am a nursing student and I have decided to do my senior project on the poison, aspartame. This article has really ticked me off. If you have any more information, please reply. This is so important, it’s time to spread the word and that is exactly what I plan on pursuing when I graduate. Now, you said that this poison doesn’t require labelling, so does that mean that I should call the consumer question/comment number on the back of so called “organic” food and inquire as to whether that food has been poisoned? Thank your for publishing this important piece of information.

    -Nelissa.

  11. Lynn D. says:

The food tyranny that we are now experiencing in America is just one facet of a bigger picture of the planned world control by the elites. And Lyle, I’ve done my homework. Conspiracies are real. As a matter of fact, the biggest conspiracy is being perpetrated by all those who ridicule the obvious evil going on all around them by calling those who tell the truth “conspiracy therorists”…..exactly as they have been programmed to do by the mass media. We’ve all heard the old cliche’ “A picture paints a thousand words”. Well, the reverse is also true: A thousand words paint a very BIG picture (for those who have eyes to see):

“The individual is handicapped by coming face-to-face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists.” ~J. Edgar Hoover

“If people let the government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.” ~Thomas Jefferson

“When you sit down to eat at the governments’ table (eat gov’t food), Consider carefully what is before you; And put a knife to your throat if you are one given to appetite. Do not desire his delicacies, For they are deceptive food.” Proverbs 23:1-3

“No matter how paranoid or conspiracy-minded you are, what the government is actually doing is far worse than you imagine.” ~William Blum

“Only the small secrets need to be protected. The big ones are kept secret by public incredulity.” ~Marshall McCluhan

“Our society is run by insane people for insane objectives…. I think we’re being run by maniacs for maniacal ends … and I think I’m liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That’s what’s insane about it.”~John Lennon, Interview BBC-TV (June 22, 1968)

“The ruling class has the schools and press under its thumb. This enables it to sway the emotions of the masses.” ~Albert Einstein

“Every step we take towards making the State our Caretaker of our lives, by that much we move toward making the State our Master.” ~Dwight D. Eisenhower

“History records that the money changers have used every form of abuse, intrigue, deceit, and violent means possible to maintain their control over governments by controlling money and it’s issuance.” ~James Madison

“From now on, depressions will be scientifically created.” ~Congressman Charles Lindbergh, 1913 (the first year of the Federal Reserve bank).

“The high office of the President has been used to foment a plot to destroy the American’s freedom and before I leave office, I must inform the citizen of this plight.”~JFK

“The task is to covertly lower the standard of living, the whole social structure, of America so that we can be merged with all other nations.” ~Rowan Gaither

“It was not accidental [the 1929 stock-market “crash”]. It was a carefully contrived occurrence. … The international bankers sought to bring about a condition of despair here so that they might emerge as rulers of us all.”~Louis McFadden

“What luck it is for the rulers that men do not think.” ~Adolph Hitler

“The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the larger centers has owned the Government ever since the days of Andrew Jackson.” ~A letter written by FDR to Colonel House, November 21st, 1933

“Think of the press as a great keyboard on which the government can play.”~Herr Joseph Goebbels, Nazi Minister of Propaganda

  12. Lyle,

Your first assumption is false. All “conspiracy theories” as you call them do not assume competency. The government has the power of mainstream media control. Period. We see and hear what they want us to through the major media outlets. Another assumption is that companies such as Monsanto do honest research. Tell the people of Anniston Alabama that. They are still trying to recover from PCB poisoning that Monsanto says doesn’t exist and claims no responsibility for. All it takes is for good people to sit back and assume that others have their best interests at heart for others to take advantage of that. They will sell us what we will buy with no thought of health or consequences to the planet. What you are advocating is taking “just a little poison” and you will be “okay.” Baloney. The toxic effects are cumulative and the proprietary studies are rigged. Look at the independent studies and you will see a completely different side of things.

    Response to Catharine:

It’s not the number of years but rather the quality of our years. If we can’t think properly, how are we able to be in tune with and process our feelings? If we can’t feel our feelings, then what is the value of life? If we can’t feel the fullness of love and joy inside ourselves, then there is no point.

The chemicals in and the reduced nutritional value of our food supply caused by corporate greed are crimes against humanity, and I can only imagine how God regards the perpetrators.

Please, Catharine and all others, don’t think that the author of this article is a fear monger. Fear is not the point, knowledge is. What we don’t know DOES hurt us. Don’t get on the author’s case for shining light on the truth–get on the case of the people/companies who are diminishing the quality of your life and the lives of everyone you love. Please.

  14. Lyle L. says:

All of these conspiracy theories assume that corporations and governments are competent, which has been shown to be false. The government/corporations couldn’t keep a secret this big if they wanted to.

The scientific evidence shows that both chemicals mentioned are harmless at current consumption levels. So unless you eat enough every day to feed a medium-sized family for a week (which would make you obese and unhealthy no matter the chemicals you consume), you’ll be fine.

In tests with mice the only ones that died were given 10x as much as a human would eat in a decade within a few days. Basically you’d have to eat ~ a gallon of it every couple of hours non-stop for a few weeks. So you’d probably die from over eating anyway.

It is all part of ww3-which began on 911-the enemy of the NWO is all civilians-they will all be killed, only the soldiers because they are already obedient-slaves-will be left alive-why because they will obey and take the mark-they will also be convinced that you are the enemy and will kill their own family members. John Titor-everyone can do high math in their heads-because these soldiers and John and everyone else in the future is a soldier-will have been converted into half human half machine with altered DNA-the entire frontal lobe is removed and replaced-robot eyes-hands-it will get terrible-John also said you are the most hated people ever-brainwashing. Read the Henoch prophesies (Billy Meier-still they fly) most have already come true but they confirm-the humans of the future will be more machine than human. They will poison all the food and water-vaccines are deadly, wars and also check confirmed by Titor-why people in the future don’t use drugs-the drugs that will soon replace currency to pay mercenary insane people-mostly X prisoners will kill them-the drugs are all poison-the drugs are being grown in War zones in the middle east full of DU.

  16. Catherine,

You are welcome to eat all the pesticide-laden, poison-filled food that you want. Just don’t force it on me through subterfuge. If this scares you, too bad. And, if you are referring to me as evil because I am supposedly scaring people for fun and profit, grow up. The only revenue generated from this site is extremely minimal, and comes from affiliate sales or the occasional donation. I have run it for years now strictly out of my own pocket. So your assumption that I am in it for “more profits” is ludicrous at best. Funny that you would attack this messenger instead of the people that are poisoning us for fun and profit. That is okay by you, eh? Support the makers of poison, and trash the people who tell you it’s poisoned.

  17. Catherine says:

I just want to know, with proven studies over several years, done with 1000’s of people in them, how many years, does eating “Organic,” add to our life spans? Then I want to take that number and subtract all the years, that are taken away by all the hysterical worry and fretting, over eating non “Organic” foods. And I bet if the studies were to be done, none of this adds 1 year to anyones existence. If you want to grow your own food, be a Vegan, live in a Commune, that is your choice, but to try to get more profits for yourself, by scaring the rest of us is, I think, equally as evil as anything Monsanto has ever done in trying to make profits for themselves as well.

  18. Jenny says:

The best solution is to completely stop purchasing any packaged food. Eat only whole fruits and vegetables, and small amounts of meat, poultry & fish depending on taste/need. The easiest place to hide these crimes is in packaged food. Also, packaged food is becoming prohibitively expensive. It takes up 90% or our supermarket shelf space. I’m starting to buy more and more in bulk, and make everything from scratch. If you just keep it simple, it doesn’t have to take too much time, and saves a ton of cash.

Take a good look, and there’s fat chance that you will find couple of things equally outrageous. Wanna become vocal?

Oh, now you are afraid for your job security?

  21. Folks who say “get proactive” have the righ idea. Anyone can find good local sources of locally grown organic foods. One quick way is to log on to http://www.localharvest.org/ a website that catlalogues all of the local food growers in your area.

And if they don’t have any in your exact location, get off your fat azz and organize an effort in your community to get out and locate where your local food growers are located and then disseminate that information everywhere you can.

    DO SOMETHING!

  22. Lee says:

I went there also. I thought: this is sort of like Germany under Hitler when random arrests first started. The Jews had to be wondering: Must I leave? Will I survive if I stay? (Are the forces of evil really that monstrous?)
This new ruling chilled me to the core. Our food is unsafe; our gov’t has forsaken us.
Is anyone considering migrating elsewhere? Canada usually tries to keep pace with oppression here. Anyone have thoughts on Mexico or elsewhere?

  23. Tom Paris says:

If we can’t see yet that we are deep into Agenda 21, I don’t know what it will take. They hide the poison in the food, alumina is all over the air. And our heads of FDA, EPA, etc. are always simply a revolving door with the Multi-National Corporations. For the survival of our species, let’s keep our farmers markets open, buy locally and encourage our farmers to convert to organic. To depend on the EPA is way too late in the play book!

  24. Lisa says:

We use honey, 0rganic Maple Syrup (Grade B is best.) and blue agave (cactus)syrup for sweetening. Drink filtered or distilled water. Take supplements like VitC and VitD3 capsules to help stay well. That’s the good news….however, I see no point in avoiding what appears to go unmentioned in all of these stories and commentary attached – this is not going to stop till they have poisoned/killed everyone targeted in America. That’s about 90% of you. This is, just like WT7, a planned demolition. Your options are to stay and be slowly destroyed, or get out of the pot while it is still doable…please all give your strongest consideration to those two options…this is not an exercise, it’s the real deal.

  32. Hi Diana,

I believe the loophole lies here:

“The following criteria will be utilized in the evaluation of substances or ingredients for the organic production and handling sections of the National List:

    (a) Synthetic and nonsynthetic substances considered for inclusion on or deletion from the National List of allowed and prohibited substances will be evaluated using the criteria specified in the Act (7 U.S.C. 6517 and 6518).

    (b) In addition to the criteria set forth in the Act, any synthetic substance used as a processing aid or adjuvant will be evaluated against the following criteria:

    (1) The substance cannot be produced from a natural source and there are no organic substitutes;

    (2) The substance’s manufacture, use, and disposal do not have adverse effects on the environment and are done in a manner compatible with organic handling;

    (3) The nutritional quality of the food is maintained when the substance is used, and the substance, itself, or its breakdown products do not have an adverse effect on human health as defined by applicable Federal regulations;

    (4) The substance’s primary use is not as a preservative or to recreate or improve flavors, colors, textures, or nutritive value lost during processing, except where the replacement of nutrients is required by law;

    (5) The substance is listed as generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by Food and Drug Administration (FDA) when used in accordance with FDA’s good manufacturing practices (GMP) and contains no residues of heavy metals or other contaminants in excess of tolerances set by FDA; and

    (6) The substance is essential for the handling of organically produced agricultural products.

    (c) Nonsynthetics used in organic processing will be evaluated using the criteria specified in the Act (7 U.S.C. 6517 and 6518).”

I just told my husband, when you read this, you will wish you had done what I wanted to do 12 yrs ago. when we bought our hill side farm in the mts. Plant an orchard, enrich the soil, plant only heirloom plants. have our own chickens, thus eggs. Well as an old lady I learned to bake bread and can all the veggies when I was a young girl. When there is no electric canned and dried food will be all we have. I have canned cherries from 1978 they are soft and have lost some flavor,BUT IT IS FOOD.Flour, dry beans and other dry foods keep when you just put dried hot peppers in the container. I have dried beans and flour that is 4 yrs old and still fresh. I have an old fashoned egg beater, hand food grinders, popcorn popper to use over a fire.camp toaster, washboard to wash clothes. solar shower for outside or heat the water outside and hang in your shower stall, that has no water because there is no electric for the water pump, or to run the city water supply, when the generators no longer run, no gas. just be careful and prepared for what ever happens and Thank GOD for a country like America.

  34. Diana says:

Hi, Barbara. An introduction, first, if you please. We are a small group of USDA certified organic artisan crafters of delicious authentic certified organic personal care products. We are based on a micro-farm in Maryland where we craft our certified products according to the National Organic Program regulations, and where we conduct our native plant and herb research. We also have an organic track record — we’ve been in business since 1992.

Our business was born as a result of our intense research into healthier lifestyle options and cancer prevention after my experience with life-threatening cancer and radical chemotherapy in 1988. We are committed to being as organic as we possibly can, and we have made it our company mission to educate others about the tremendous value in living an organic lifestyle. Thus, we are concerned about our food supply (certified organic foods are key ingredients in our body care product range!), most definitely, but, very importantly, we are also extremely concerned about the body care chemicals that folks rub INTO their bodies and wash down the drain into our drinking and crop irrigation water every single day.

Regarding your sweet posting, we share your dissatisfaction with the increased widespread intrusion of the corporations into our lives and with their obvious arrogant strategies to control our food supply. We also strongly agree that their attempts to dilute organic’s higher standards are quite unacceptable. However, we felt compelled to dash off this brief note about the chemical sweeteners. There is one thing that does need to be clarified about this situation, but first, if you don’t mind, for those organic newbies out there, I believe a little organic labeling background would be helpful.

There are three labeling categories under the National Organic Program federal regulations. The first category is “100% organic” in which all ingredients in a product — excluding water and salt — must be USDA certified organic. Products meeting this level of organic-ness may use the USDA Organic seal on the front of the package. This is an uncommon labeling designation for foods as it, typically, applies to single ingredient products and most food products are multi-ingredient products. (Water and salt are excluded from organic labeling percentage calculations because, though they are natural, they are not alive — do not grow — and cannot be considered “organic” under the National Organic Program — NOP.)

The second labeling category is “organic.” In this category, products must be composed of 95% USDA certified organic ingredients — excluding water and salt — and the remaining 5% of the ingredients must be listed on the National List of Prohibited and Allowed substances.** Products meeting this level of organic-ness may use the USDA Organic seal on the front of the package. There are a wide variety of acceptable product choices in this labeling category in the marketplace.

** It is important to note that the sweetening agents being discussed here are NOT included on the National List. Thus, Neotame or Sweetos is not permitted in foods labeled as “organic” or “100% organic” and that bear the USDA organic seal.

There is a final, third labeling category under the National Organic Program and this category is a lesser — not as strict — labeling category. The third category is the “made with organic” category. In order to bear this claim, products must be composed of, at minimum, 70% USDA certified organic ingredients and the remaining 30%, well…you take your chances. Synthetic sweeteners, highly undesirable chemicals, could, quite unfortunately, be included in a product in the “made with organic” category.

So, in regard to labeling shenanigans, and products that include non-organic and/or synthetic materials, sadly, many companies see the “made with organic” category as their cost-cutting, increase-our-profits-get-richer-more-quickly exploitative opportunity.

According to the National Organic Program rules, products in the third “made with organic…” labeling category can use ANY FDA-approved, synthetic additives, or any conventional food ingredients in the remaining non-organic 30% portion of their product’s content. So, this third “made with organic…” labeling category is the category to be wary of, and where it pays to scrutinize that ingredients listing. Unfortunately, there is growing trend of more and more companies utilizing and/or switching to this labeling category, even companies that entered the market place with products originally labeled as “organic.”

Giant retailers dictate their desired profit margins and organic processors rush to meet their demands in order to secure high-volume shelf space in national chain stores. In order to give the big chains and their national distributors the cut of profits that they demand, companies are looking to see where they can cut corners, while stretching the limits of their image and former organic reputations, to produce the large volumes of products at the rock-bottom lowest cost for their profit-seeking, high-volume retail partners. The industry’s new strategy is all about volume, volume, volume, and profits — at any cost — and, if organic suffers, oh well, that’s the price you must pay for our domination.

Bottom line: if you want the healthiest true organic food or body care products, in this the best of all possible worlds, then make it a priority to search out ethical companies and USDA certified organic products that are labeled as “100% Organic” and “organic” (95%) as your first choice. Of course, organic and local would truly be the best of all possible worlds.

Remember, “If it doesn’t have the seal (the USDA organic seal), it ain’t the Real Deal!”

(Afterthoughts: why is that people who say they are concerned about eating and farming organically rub nasty chemicals into their skin and scalp every day, and wash those chemicals down their drains into our drinking water? Why are organic-minded people giving their money to, and fueling the obscene mega-growth of, companies that make fake-natural and fake-organic body care products? Could it be that bad drinking water — water contaminated with synthetic shampoo surfactants and preservatives, and chemically-fragrant body lotion — is at the root of this problem in which people are becoming more apathetic and less environmentally-conscious?)

Lastly, for a little fun, check out our organic educational project — our Organic Rap Video — filmed on location by our team on our organic farm! A little humiliation for the organic cause is a worthy sacrifice! : ) Enjoy! Thanks for caring!

    So.
Rather than venting, I want to ask:

WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT IT?
Can anyone begin spreading the word and getting people up in arms?
Does the Organic Consumers Association (organicconsumers.org) know?

The UK is banning herbs now too. Pretty soon everyone who wants to be self sufficient and off their food sources will be labeled as crazy or worse..

  37. There really is no end to all this madness.

Unfortunately the masses are so numbed now..there is no fight left in them..including Americans.

Is it the constant bombardment of chemicals we are subject to that has cause such a passive planet?

Controlling the masses has always been an agenda…now we are seeing why it is that way.

Pick your poison..we have lots for you to choose from.

I gather that this ‘poison’ has been around for quite some time.
Here is a website telling that it was approved in 2002.

Seems the powers that be are truly intent on making everyone
ill or else exterminating us. They sure want to reduce the
population one way or another. It is either through our food,
pharmaceuticals, vaccines, toxic water sources, chemtrails etc.

  41. David McElroy says:

First, the robber barons lured the peasants off the farms into factories, bought vast tracts and choice plots, drove many other farmers and ranchers off the land with debts and lawsuits and outright seizures. Or like California’s Big Valley, or Oregon, they just cut off the access to water. Now the impoversished urbanized public depends upon corporatists’ mass-processed food to survive. Their tainted food is poisoning us slowly but surely, dulling our minds and instilling many chronic diseases.
When unpoisoned food is outlawed, only outlaws will have unpoisoned food. Recall “population reduction”. Growing your own food is independent self-reliance, action tyrants like Stalin punished with starvation and death. I certainly don’t trust S. 510 to protect homesteaders, farmers, ranchers, or even my little garden rights. Beware, and be fed by your own hands! Live free or die!

the genocidal Agenda 21 is becoming so blatant – and this latest hit makes me cry, real hard.

does everyone know about hydroponic gardens that you can grow indoors? this offers protection from geoengineered chemtrails, and any citizen spies (Infragard et al) who might come onto your property at night to destroy your little garden outside your house.

Gerald Celente predicts that some 20% of us will survive the coming years, intact. the biggest problem is that people cannot wrap their heads around the murderous intentions of those behind Agenda 21. they are not people like you or your friends – they are psychopaths, with no empathy, who want everything for themselves. Alex Jones describes them as a “death cult”…and how else could you describe entities whose intention is to destroy the earth?

  43. Doug Girard says:

Eric Hall speaks of “forming self sufficient communities” such as the Amish. I have wanted to go and live in such a place for some time now. The intentional communities I have looked into seem scattered and rather dysfunctional. If there are people discussing such things and planning to build such community, I would like to be aware of this. I have carpentry/cabinetmaking, graphic design, childcare, cooking, gardening, and other skills which may be of use, and would make me a viable member of such a place. We have passed some sort of tipping point where the government, both state and federal, can no longer be trusted to answer to anyone but the corporate voices which seemingly drive their existence.

  44. Just one more betrayal by our government. It’s obvious that all, not just some , of our government agencies have been bought off and no longer look out for the public as they were created to do. These agencies need to be brought back to their charter or eliminated completely and get Monsanto the hell out of our food, that company is evil and should be investigated for crimes against humanity.

It seems that the Amish have the right idea, and that the people might consider forming self sufficient
communities like theirs to better protect themselves from the continual assaults.

  46. Donna,

They do not have to label it. Period. When you look at a label that says something like “sugars” it could be hiding there. No special labeling for the actual sweetener.

“The NFP, however, by emphasizing “ sugars” , suggests that none of today’ s alternative formulated sweeteners are present in the product. Polyol sweetener (currently referred to in FDA regulations as “ sugar alcohol” ) content does not have to be provided in the NFP in the absence of a health claim, and artificial sweeteners are excluded entirely. This leaves consumers misinformed about important modifications to the foods they consume where syrups, polyol sweeteners and artificial sweeteners are being substituted for sugar. Consumers are left unaware that these formulated ingredients are being used in the place of a natural sweetener.

  49. Hi Wanda,

In my opinion, it ends with us either ending our dependence on food made by corporations that we do not know, or sticking our heads in the sand while eating poison on a plate. I’m not going down without a fight.

  50. wanda says:

They give us little choice… no choice actually. Most will not even be aware of this, and many who do will choose to ignore the warnings.

Just the fact that this has been done is fairly frightening. They have just legalized the genocide. So, how does this end?
