Help Barb and the critters at FarmWars keep their home!

The critters and I are facing foreclosure on our home and need your help to catch the payments up. Once we we are caught up, we can manage things from there. We got behind because our partner decided to take the money and run, leaving me with no way to pay the mortgage and feed the critters. Feeding the critters came first, so that is where the remaining funds went. I now have a source of income, but need your help to catch up on the mortgage payments so that I can keep the critters and provide a roof over our heads.

This home is used to house rescue animals, raise organic veggies, the Farm Wars Mini Milkers line of goats for family milking, and has been our home for 15 years. Moving the animals and all of our stuff will not be possible, especially in the snow, so if the mortgage is not caught up, we will essentially, be left homeless, and the critters will have to be given to shelters. The horses are elderly and would most likely be put down. I am doing everything in my power to keep this from happening, and need help. Thank you!

Wow, over $1,000 raised so far, that’s great! Barbara, there is a website you might want to post your article on, it’s thedodo.com
they have lots of animal stories and often run things like your article to help the humans who help animals. The readers there are HUGE animal lovers with big hearts and I’ve seen people raise money quickly thru GoFundMe and others such as the one you’re using. It might be worth a shot. Good luck!

Barbara, I’m so sorry to hear about this, how awful! I know you must be deeply distressed especially for your animals. How I wish I had $3,800 I’d pay off the whole thing for you. Right now, I’m broke but if I get paid soon by someone who owes me money, I’ll DEFINITELY be contributing. I’ll be watching your posts to see if you raise the money and praying for your and your animals.
I’ve read your blog for years and love it. You WILL BE victorious in this!! Try to stay positive though I know it’s hard, but hang in there, we’re rooting for you!

I hope it doesn’t come to this but if the bank does try to foreclose there is a remedy in the common law court. If you make an offer to pay what you honestly can only afford in a written sworn affidavit to the bank, the bank must accept or you don’t owe anything. Submit the affidavit to judge in the common law court. The wording is important but not complicated, so you should do some research or ask an expert.

Anyway, I donated what I could and hope others come through as well.
