The Common Core Zone

Barbara H. Peterson

Farm Wars

We have entered a world where education is no longer relevant. Where learning is subject to the whim of the state, and the corporation is king. Where children grow up as resources to be used by and disposed of by the corporations that employ them. Where up is down, down is up, and higher education is a threat to sustainability.

Look, the sign post up ahead. Pay close attention, because we have just entered the Common Core Zone.

And the growing many who are dissenting, dissatisfied,
    and untethering from it:

Do something, do your part, and be part of the change
you want – small or big. It’s good dharma, builds good
karma, and the more who do, the easier, smoother, and
more quickly the transition out for all of us.
