As most of my readers know, I don’t go to traditional medical docs by choice. But I was signed up for Medicaid by the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) when I turned the ripe young age of 60 something. I requested information for an article, and ended up on the rosters. Oh well, I don’t use it, don’t plan to, but keep an eye on it for curiosity’s sake.
So, while looking through my “benefits,” I came across two disturbing things:
- My medical provider is called Disease MGT
- My dental coverage includes something called “fluoride varnish.”
As if having a government entity blatantly tell the truth about being a disease management system instead of a health maintenance system wasn’t eye-opening enough, read the following about fluoride varnish, which seems to be all the going rage.
But first, some background information regarding sodium fluoride toxicity:
Two percent solutions of sodium fluoride may kill intestinal mucosal cells and result in severe hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. … Fluorosis affecting bone is not detectable until the water concentration exceeds at least 4 ppm.

So, we see that sodium fluoride in water at concentrations exceeding at least 4 ppm can result in dental fluorosis, and damage bone.
Ingestion of excess fluoride, most commonly in drinking-water, can cause fluorosis which affects the teeth and bones. Moderate amounts lead to dental effects, but long-term ingestion of large amounts can lead to potentially severe skeletal problems.

Colgate Fluoride Varnish contains 22,600 ppm sodium fluoride in a 50 dose container. This is used by dentists to paint on teeth for sensitivity relief.
That equates to 5,650 times the minimum dosage of 4 ppm in water that can cause dental fluorosis and damage bones.
So, just how many drops of Colgate PreviDent Varnish of 22,600 ppm sodium fluoride does it take to cause tooth and bone decay and outright poisoning? That’s a fair question.
But it’s not water, and you’re not supposed to swallow!
Hey, I’ve got news for ya, Bubby, if it’s in your mouth, you’re gonna swallow some. And at 22,600 ppm, it won’t take much.

Description
PreviDent® 5% Sodium Fluoride Varnish contains 22,600 ppm fluoride. It has a strong desensitizing action when applied to dental surfaces, treating hypersensitivity quickly and easily. This product sets rapidly on contact with saliva, resulting in patient comfort and acceptance. PreviDent® Varnish will leave a thin film on the teeth after application.
Composition
1 mL of this suspension contains 50 mg sodium fluoride, equivalent to 22.8 mg fluoride ion, in an alcoholic solution of synthetic resins.
Indications
PreviDent® Varnish is a topical fluoride for the treatment of dentinal sensitivity.
Dosage
To be administered by the dental professional for the treatment of dentin hypersensitivity.
Directions for Use
Please observe when treating hypersensitive teeth
- Wash and dry tooth surface.
- Mix well prior to application.
- Apply product with supplied brush in the conventional manner.
- Thin excess varnish on the tooth’s surface until the varnish surface is dry.
- Covers even moist teeth with a coating of varnish film for several hours which occludes the openings of the dentinal tubules.
- Hardens on contact with saliva so the patient may leave immediately after application of the product.
- It is recommended that the patient be instructed to eat only soft foods for 2 hours after treatment.
Contraindications
Ulcerative gingivitis and stomatitis.
Interactions
When PreviDent® Varnish is applied, other fluoride preparations such as fluoride gels should not be administered during the same day. The routine use of fluoride tablets should be interrupted for several days after treatment.
Adverse Reactions
Edematous swellings have been reported only in rare instances in some fluoride varnish products, especially after application to extensive surfaces. Dyspnea, although extremely rare, has occurred in asthmatic children. Nausea has been reported when extensive applications have been made. If required, varnish film can be removed with a thorough brushing. Store in a cool, dry place.

I don’t know about you, but it seems pretty blatant and “in your face” that poisoning is a mere drop away at the dentist’s office, and that the Disease MGT section of your friendly local government will be more than happy to manage the diseases the medical/dental cartel causes. And don’t forget to give them an accurate listing of all your belongings, because according to the OHP, when you succumb to the onslaught of benevolent chemicals designed to ease you into that oh so early grave on a fractured skeleton with your teeth in a cup by the bed, the Disease MGT team will be taking notes. And correlating the results. And processing them into a database that will be kept for future research and experimentation. You can bet your bottom molars on that.

fluoride can go thru concrete so I bet enamel is easy, but that is my guess.
I have been an unwitting dental victim from childhood. The dentist put fillings in my baby teeth. Then, I went on to braces and had multiple teeth pulled because my mouth was so small. Eventually, a number of years ago, I had a heavy metal study performed. The results were nothing less than shocking. I went to the only dentist in the area who was enlightened. He rebuilt my entire mouth perfectly thus removing the horrid mercury fillings.
It’s now a few years later and I have receding gums that are quite painful. My new dentist suggested “gum goo” to take away the pain. SHOULD I HAVE THIS PROCEDURE DONE OR DOES THIS INVOLVE FLUORIDE BASED CHEMICALS? He also stressed fluoride toothpaste. Help!

I retract the “Hexafluorosilicic acid is not the same thing as fluoride” part – my bad. Just in a hurry this morning – however… It *IS* a silly thing to say that dentists need to be tried as war criminals for dispensing a “WEAPONS GRADE NEURO TOXIN for the purpose of shortening human life”. Really now? All fluoride-dispensing dentists are guilty of murder (killing with intent)? Malpractice I could see. Ignorance? Definitely. Naivete? yep. But murder – no reasonable judge in the world would go for that. As for the scoundrels in higher circles responsible for propagating the myth of fluoride safety and usage… that could be another story.

Big difference between artificial “fluoride” and natural “calcium fluoride.” Do you know which “fluoride” you are talking about?
Gertjan Zwiggelaar, you are speaking nonsense. Hexafluorosilicic acid is not the same thing as fluoride, which pretty much renders the rest of your statement null and void. That said, yes, fluoride is poisonous and should be eliminated from all water supplies and toothpaste, and the politicians that keep supporting its use should be arrested for conspiracy, bribery, et al. But your statements were absolutely baseless and silly.
The prestigious medical journal, LANCET published an article two years ago identifying Hexafluorosilicic acid, also known as Hydrofluorocilicic acid as a WEAPONS GRADE neurotoxin, a primary ingredient of Sarin gas; the stuff allegedly used by the government of Syria against its own people. Sarin gas was also used by a suicidal cult in Japan to kill some people on a subway train some years earlier. The use of fluoride on human beings and animals amounts to an act of war. All persons using this poison; a byproduct of one of three industries: atomic bomb manufacturing, aluminum production, and fertilizer concocting, are in danger. The fluoride which is used to poison people with their drinking water is sourced from the scrapings of the chimneys of the fertilizer plants.
Dentists, their nefarious associations, and all other people promoting the use of this highly carcinogenic toxin should be immediately arrested and held for trial. The charge has to be: Deployment of a WEAPONS GRADE NEURO TOXIN for the purpose of shortening human life. This charge ultimately is a MURDER charge because the fluoride, whether in the drinking water or in the hands of your grinning dental professional with the brand new BMW outside, is a WEAPON FOR MASS MURDER!!!
All studies purporting that dental grade or whatever grade fluoride is good for humans are ABSOLUTELY false and the authors of those papers have to be arrested and held for trial. The charge has to be INCITEMENT to COMMIT MASS MURDER.
It is time to begin playing hard ball with the people who are killing us. 2015 has to be the year all Hexafluorosilicic acid is removed from all drinking water and all dental offices; where lots of dentists will be missing because they will be in jail, or possibly were hanged for their crimes.
A doctor (he was both M.D. And chiropractor) told me that this varnish has BPA in it.
Fluoride varnishing and mercury amalgams are basically horrible and egregious acts of violence against hapless patients,done by unconscionable or willfully ignorant dentists, green lighted by the FDA and the ADA, and these criminal actions by these so called “health professionals” and their regulatory agencies will have profound implications for all of the victims of these dental procedures, from fluorosis to devastated immune systems, with alzheimer disease and cancer as the inevitable consequences of these “approved” protocols. How wonderful indeed is modern medicine! DO NO HARM has long been forgotten in the maniacal quest for the almighty dollar. And all those people with compromised immune systems and a whole host of emerging diseases, it’s just tsk tsk (can’t be helped-war is hell) COLLATERAL DAMAGE.
Years ago the dentist used to put a mouth piece in your mouth and it contained pure fluoride and you sat there with it in your mouth for about 20 minutes. How much would people swallow like that and can fluoride penetrate tooth enamel?
