America, the land of the free… or is it?

Home of the brave, land of the free. That is what we are supposed to believe. What we are conditioned to believe. Consider this: A rat born in captivity doesn’t know anything else. We could label that captivity “freedom” and the rat would know no difference.

We who were born in America have been told time and time again that we are free and that other countries hate us for our freedom and that we must spread that freedom throughout the world. We are taught to believe that our troops are sent to kill and die to protect us from those that hate us, and that if they didn’t, we would live in captivity, slavery, and authoritarian rule.

But what if it’s all a lie? What if the freedom that we cherish is actually a carefully constructed mask designed to fool those within and without the nation, disguising the true nature of the beast system that we live under? A system created by those who would be king? A system of slavery so complete that we, like the rat, cannot tell the difference because the cage is all we know? What if the freedom that we imagine ourselves to have is all an illusion? Poof! Gone like the wind. Out the door like yesterday’s trash.

“Since March 9, 1933, the United States has been in a state of declared national emergency. In fact, there are now in effect four presidentially-proclaimed states of national emergency:

In addition to the national emergency declared by President Roosevelt in 1933, there are also the national emergency proclaimed by President Truman on December 16, 1950, during the Korean conflict, and the states of national emergency declared by President Nixon on March 23, 1970, and August 15, 1971.

These proclamations give force to 470 provisions of Federal law. These hundreds of statutes delegate to the President extraordinary powers, ordinarily exercised by the Congress, which affect the lives of American citizens in a host of all-encompassing manners. This vast range of powers, taken together, confer enough authority to rule the country without reference to normal Constitutional processes.

Under the powers delegated by these statutes, the President may: seize property; organize and control the means of production; seize commodities; assign military forces abroad; institute martial law; seize and control all transportation and communication; regulate the operation of private enterprise; restrict travel; and, in a plethora of particular ways, control the lives of all American citizens.

“A majority of the people of the United States have lived all of their lives under emergency rule. For 40 years, freedoms and governmental procedures guaranteed by the Constitution have, in varying degrees, been abridged by laws brought into force by states of national emergency. The problem of how a constitutional democracy reacts to great crises, however, far antedates the Great Depression. As a philosophical issue, its origins reach back to the Greek city-states and the Roman Republic. And, in the United States, actions taken by the Government in times of great crises have-from, at least, the Civil War – in important ways, shaped the present phenomenon of a permanent state of national emergency.”

Freedom is not freedom if it can be arbitrarily taken away by another.

Freedom: the quality or state of being free: as a: the absence of necessity, coercion, or constraint in choice or action

Freedom is not freedom if it is based on conditions imposed by an outside authority that has the absolute power to coerce, constrain, or otherwise determine your choices or actions.

So, why the subterfuge? Because it’s show time! Hey, we’ve got to have something to pump us up to fight, don’t we? After all, war is a huge money maker, not to mention that the death toll contributes to population thinning, and the fact that the best con in the world is brainwashing people so thoroughly that they line up for the battlefield, line up to get poisons pumped into their systems via the medical establishment, line up for their genetically engineered DNA disrupting foodlike substances controlled by a psychopathic company endorsed by the U.S. Government, and willingly give up their lives in dead end jobs to keep the beast alive. Alive so that it can continue to suck the life blood out of each and every victim in it’s death grip.

We are enveloped in a system so corrupt and so complete that most of us don’t even know we are entangled in its clutches. And we call it freedom. And defend it with our lives. And pay taxes for a debt we never incurred, and bow before the god of money so that we can live to slave another day to support that system.

America, the land of the free, as long as those in authority say so. Step out of line and see just how free you are from behind the bars of a 4X8 cell with Bubba as a cellmate. Or just try being a country that opposes American intervention. We have drones for that. To liberate and install freedom.

Word games, mind games, any game but the truth. It’s easier that way. Makes the people more cooperative if they really believe they are free. Biggest con job in the world. And we fell for it.

  1. Hugh Mann says:

IMO, the government is too corrupted to make any lasting positive changes. Good honest people go into government positions thinking they are going to change the system. One of two things usually occurs, the system corrupts them or they end up dead. JFK or RFK bring back memories? The government is being run and manipulated by powerful corporations and people. It’s being run and ruined by entities such as banks, the military industrial complex, big-pharma, big-agriculture, etc. Unfortunately, voting the parasites out isn’t going to work anymore because our votes don’t really do not count. Filing lawsuits isn’t going to work because the justice system has been turned into a just-us system. I know of no easy solution to the problems that we all face. There are some brilliant minds on earth, perhaps someone can devise a plan we can all LIVE WITH.

  2. Deanna Johnston Clark says:

Sincere prayer to God for the well being of others and for solutions to problems moves God’s heart.
Otherwise the chain of mediocre causality just lumbers on

  3. nicki says:

… And that’s where you lose me. Prayer? Come on. That’s not a realistic solution. You can’t just pray things into being less corrupt.

Look, I try to be a good person, do the right thing, live a healthy life, make good choices, but all of my GOOD efforts alone do not negate the BAD ones. What I think DOES help, is sharing information with others, making people think, really think, about how things are, what’s going on, etc. In turn, educated people make better choices, hopefully.

I grew up with punk rock friends who thought differently and wanted to look different from every day jc pennymoms and be taken seriously by the very people they wanted nothing to do with. And I always thought that was silly because of course they’re not going to listen to your “radical” ideas when you scare them with your “differences” on display. And I guess that’s not a popular opinion but the adage of catching more flies with honey exists for a reason, people.

Which I guess is sort of like saying, why don’t people who want real change play the game, get in power, and then do the right thing? Are they just corrupt once they get there?

  4. Deanna Johnston Clark says:

We have to do 3 things above all:

Pray for the well being of other people, everywhere.
Live ethical, just lives as best we can…fair trade, respect etc.
Find one effort for good we really love…not the guilt thing, but really love.

Prayer can reach the darkest corners on earth.

  5. Anne Porter says:

    What can we do ?
9-11 opened my eyes to the lies .
Where do we as intelligent , ” question authority”,
Very concerned citizens go from here ?

  6. Deanna Johnston Clark says:

At bottom is this: Do we obey a man on a horse or the Constitution and Bill of Rights?

If people are catching on to this…and many are…then the only option for the man of power is naked force.

Many people are used to thinking that obedience to a central authoritarian figure equals God’s will. Though since Peter walked out of the Roman prison cell and Jesus often insisted the Sabbath was made for humans, not the reverse, it presents a problem.

Many Americans come from another background…they distrust central authority first and always. Part of their dna from the Olde Country and its everlasting corruption and wars will never worship and pay the tribute of blind obedience to authority figures…n matter the propaganda. God, I hope I’m right!

  7. Jorge says:

Hitler’s slogan was “One nation, one people, one leader.” That pretty much describes where we are at with the new American caesar, doesn’t it?

  8. Jorge says:

And we were warned by George Orwell in 1984. Big Brother’s slogan was “War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength.”

  9. Hugh Mann says:

Great article Barb! You hit the nail on the head of so many points.

All I can say is a quote from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. “None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.
Also, The general misconception is anything passed by legislators bearing the appearance of law constitutes the law of the land. The U.S. constitution IS the SUPREME law of the land, and any statutes, code, acts or treaties to be valid, must be in agreement with the Constitution. It is impossible for any law which violates the Constitution to be valid. “All laws which are repugnant to the Constitution are null and void.” Maybury vs. Madison (1803).

  10. Eileen K. says:

Just look at what happened at the 2008 GOP Convention to then Congressman Ron Paul, who had garnered sufficient delegates to pose a serious threat to upset Senator John McCain for the nomination. The Texas Congressman was excluded from the balloting and his delegates handed over to McCain, thus, handing the Arizona Senator the nomination on a silver platter.

BTW, McCain lost the November general election in a landslide to then Democrat candidate Barack Obama.

  11. Deanna Johnston Clark says:

Not sure about all the premise…however, I do believe this effort exists with inner power groups.

MacArthur is a snow job (giving away my age there). He deliberately avoided scrambling American planes Dec. 8 1941 in defense of the Philippines. Japan had already blown up Pearl Harbor and taken Singapore. Yet the Philippines were denied air defenses. Was this to ensure a longer war…or American outrage…or what? Truman hated MacArthur…perhaps he knew more than he let on.
Considering the atrocities against Filipinos and American soldiers, it seems unforgivable. Yet MacArthur kept his job, unlike the Commanders at Pearl Harbor who actually did their duty much better.
The firing on veterans was also unforgivable. A truly great man would have resigned rather than do it. Others have. A relative of ours refused to scout for the Army on the trail of tears Cherokee Removal and galloped away in disgust.
What higher authority than Roosevelt did MacArthur cooperate with when he kept those planes grounded?
No I don’t believe all America is evil, or all the government is evil…but…

  12. Abe says:

It’s just like a giant “Pavlov’s Dog” experiment! Why will an elephant allow it’s self to be tied to a peg, when it could obviously pull it out of the ground with little if any effort? It’s called conditioning for a “Controlled Response”. When an elephants a baby they tie it’s leg to a peg. It pulls and pulls to know avail. Eventually gives up forEVER!!

1933 was a big year. There was the coup. Macarthur ordered troops to fire on vets! You betcha he did! The idiots in congress passed a law to make the FED a forever thing.
Then my personal hero Major General Smedley Butler who foiled the coup, and woke up. He wrote the book “War is a Racket”. Worth reading

“War is just a racket. There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes and the other is the Bill of Rights. War for any other reason is simply a racket.”
    http://www.wanttoknow.info/warisaracket.shtml

Judge Naps “What If” rant, aka How to get fired in less than 5 minutes.
This is deffinately worth watching. Like I’ve been saying for decades now, believe the opposite of what they say, you’ll be right 90+% of the time”.

  13. Ohio River says:

What is black is really white…..what is up is really down. We think one way because the MSM & D.C. lies. “Weapons of mass destruction in Iraq”? We fell for that lie.

So yes, it’s not our enemies who are the tyrants with their citizens in slavery….it is really America and we are the slaves on the USG plantation.
