BarbHave you got questions about planting and growing your own food? Don’t know where to find answers? Welcome to PlantVillage!

I just found out about this new resource built by some people who know just about everything there is to know about plants and growing your own food, and I’m on board. I just signed up today, and encourage anyone who is into growing their own and getting away from the big box supermarkets to join in the conversation and learn how to gain food independence. And the best part? It’s free. Yes, absolutely free ;)

PlantVillage is built on the premise that all knowledge that helps people grow food should be openly accessible to anyone on the planet. PlantVillage is a user moderated Q & A forum dedicated to the goal of helping people grow their own food. It is an open, freely available resource that helps you solve all your plant related questions. PlantVillage is ad free and easy to use.

The idea is a simple one which is to create a place where people can exchange knowledge on growing food plants. There exists a lot of great knowledge around but not an ideal way to share it quickly. We developed PlantVillage so people could post questions and the crowd could come up with very specific answers that draws from our collective knowledge. David Hughes
