Evidently, Senator Klobuchar, your job is to shill for the biotech industry. But just in case I’m wrong on this, please show us the tests that you so heavily rely on that are conducted by the USDA, FDA and EPA on genetically modified food (GMOs). You can’t, Senator, because they don’t exist.

To amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, the Federal Meat Inspection Act, and the Poultry Products Inspection Act to require that food that contains a genetically engineered material, or that is produced with a genetically engineered material, be labeled accordingly. This bill is a re-introduction of H.R. 5577.

Thought that endorsing Romney was bad enough? In another turn of events that exposes the corporatist leanings of Rand Paul, Senator from Kentucky, he has voted NO on a GMO labeling amendment to the farm bill “to permit States to require that any food, beverage, or other edible product offered for sale have a label on indicating that the food, beverage, or other edible product contains a genetically engineered ingredient.”
While we run in circles trying to get someone in Congress to listen, we could be going straight to the source and giving people the information they need to understand that GMOs are unhealthy, have been put in our food without our consent or knowledge, and the only way to stop the GMO takeover is to get informed, get mad, and stop buying them.
